Vermont Teddy Bear: Case Study

During this course, we’ve discussed Bob Stetzel’s onboarding and first-year activities as VTB’s new CIO. We’ve looked at the difficult situation he walked into in his new role and how he had to manage his environment with limited resources and meet his key stakeholder's expectations. We’ve reviewed how he had to address issues around: •Strategic Management •Governance •Performance Management •Communication Management •Risk Management As Bob completes his 1st year he’s putting the final touches on the IT Strategic Plan which documents Bob’s approach to implementing new technology and replacing the current out-of-date IT environment. The plan also discusses investing in new technical capabilities and onboarding additional resources to support the new environment. How should Bob present his IT Strategic plan to obtain buy-in and approval from the CEO and the Executive Board?
